Viona's Italian Bistro

Came here for my sister's birthday. Nice little Italian joint. My dish was very good. So was the salad. However, service was okay. Soda machine was out of fizz, so it didn't taste right. Asked for a new one, but they came back with the same thing. Waiter seemed a bit rude? He didn't seem very friendly, and wasn't really patient either. They weren't busy. Not sure if it was just his demeanor. Idk.

Wonderful meal! Bread and salad are fresh and delicious. I couldn't get enough of the oil & vinegar mix. They add fresh onions and seasonings.... delish!! My pasta was a huge serving and incredible...creamy sauce with a hint of spiciness, sausage and chicken. I ordered a cannoli to go, and I'm excited to try it later. Highly recommend.

We've been looking for a good non-chain Italian restaurant and a friend recommended Viona's. We went there last week on a Tuesday evening and were seated right away. However, we waited over 10 minutes before anyone came to take our drink order. Once our waitress arrived the service improved. The appetizer and bread were hot and delicious. The salads were fresh but their "house Italian" looked like yellow store brand Italian dressing from a bottle (and tasted about the same). Our entrees were disappointing. My spaghetti and meatballs featured overcooked sauce and spaghetti noodles (no fork twirling here - the spaghetti broke into pieces as soon as I lifted it from the plate). My meatballs were also overcooked and dry. My husband's baked dish came with a thick layer of cheese baked to a hard crust over the top -- he thought it was ok but he will eat just about anything without complaint. To say that we were disappointed with this meal would be an understatement. Maybe it was an off night ... I don't know. We paid over $70 for a so-so meal (meals don't come with salads -- you have to pay for them separately -- add in the appetizer and beverages and it's a lot for just 2 people). I wish we could give them another chance but don't think I want to risk it.

07/05/2023 We paid $68 for 3 lukewarm, flavorless pizzas and a kids Mac & cheese. We arrived when we were told the pizza would be ready, it wasn’t. So I’m not understanding why it was not hot. We live 5 minutes from the restaurant.I ordered cheese pizza with peppers. There was very little cheese and the peppers were minuscule. The only thing I could taste was sauce. We also ordered a pepperoni with mushroom, again no flavor and very little toppings. My sons slice had 0 pepperoni. The supreme was not any better. Very disappointing for what we paid. This will be going in the garbage. Sad how much this has gone downhill since the last time we ordered from here. The taste of the pizza was great. Plenty of toppings. I was glad to have red and green bell peppers. We all agreed the pizza could have spent a few more minutes in the the oven. On site parking. Curbside pickup for us. It was ready when we arrived. Good value for the price. My daughter wanted chicken on her pizza, unfortunately not an option; so she went with spinach and onions. We all have leftovers for another meal. It’s important to support local businesses.
